Day1. Transfer and Addis Ababa city tour
Arrive at Bole international airport and check in to hotel and depending on the time availability make Addis Ababa city tour including National Museum to visit 3.4 million years old hominid (Lucy), the Trinity Church and Merkato (largest open air market in Africa).Overnight Hotel
Day2. Drive to Bale Mountain National park
Morning after breakfast, full day drive to Bale Mountain National Park rich in endemic fauna and flora and an area of diverse habitat and in the afternoon arrive at Dinsho park HQ. Late in the afternoon walk around and spot some endemic mammals such as Mountain Nyala and Menelik Bush Buck, and bird species like Blue-winged goose, Spot-breasted lapwing, Abyssinian long claw and Wattled ibis. Overnight Camping/Dinsho Lodge
Day3. Trek to Geysey Valley
Today start your first day trek to Geysay Valley, the northern grass land part of the park and while trekking in the indigenous Moorland, it’s possible to spot the endemic Menelik Bush Buck, Mountain Nyala, Warthog, Baboons and other mammals. After spending a wonder full time at Geysay trek back to Dinsho. Overnight Camping/Lodge
Day4. Trek Wolla Valley
Morning, escorted by your guide, a scout and packhorses you will trek 5-6 hrs through the lush highland vegetation and beautiful landscape to Mararo our first campsite. On the way spot a number of birds like Wattled ibis, Rouget’s rail, black-winged lovebird, thick-billed raven, white-collared pigeon, Abyssinian long claw, Abyssinian catbird, white-backed black tit, black-headed forest oriole,lammergeyer,etc. Overnight camping
Day5. Trek to Wasama Valley.
Morning after breakfast we trek about 7- 8 hrs to spot endemic Abyssinian Wolf and giant Mole rat. Overnight camping
Day6. Trek to Garba Guracha Lake.
Today we resume trek to Gebre Guracha through Senate Plateau and crossing Batu Mountain, 4200 meters. En route, spot Ethiopian wolf and a number of birds such as Lammergeyer, Vereaux’s eagle and several rodent species. Overnight camping
Day7. Trek Sennate to Goba town
Today, we trek for about 5 hrs to the highest peak in the Bale Mountains, Tullu Dimtu (4377m) which is part of the Sanetti Plateau. The vistas are simply unbelievable and so photogenic. Here you will find small alpine lakes and typical afro-alpine vegetation that includes the Giant Lobelia. There are views to the steep-sided volcanic plug of Konteh Tullu and the long, craggy ridges of Mount Batu. Here the car will meet and drive us down to Goba town for an overnight stay .Overnight in Hotel
Day8. Drive back to Addis Ababa
Morning drive back to Addis Ababa through rift valley lakes with brief lunch stops in Ziway. Enjoy last minute shopping in Addis and participate in farewell dinner in one of the traditional restaurants. Then transfer to the air port for your departure.
